Day of candles

Today was, as I mentioned, my 30th Birthday! I shared it in fact with my daughter, who turns 5 on the 21st but who was extremely irate at the fact today was my Birthday and not hers. So, we shared our little celebration, which was hosted by my darling husband. It made me happy seeing he actually went out and got me a cake, and candles! ( photos to come)
Today also marks an entire decade that I have not had my Father in my life. In fact, when I turned 29 that was 10 years after he passed away. It is very challenging to not think about the fact that he is no longer on Earth, but watching from afar. It makes me ever so determined to keep my family healthy and to prevent illness and disease from taking yet another member of our clan. So whenever I get a lecture about us being health nuts, I don't take it personally. I know why we do what we do. I am grateful that my husband no longer has asthma, thanks to his change of diet ( eliminating gluten). Watching him in the past suffer so much and struggle to breath was a nightmare. It has been two years since he last possessed an inhaler! :)
Hold your loved ones close, breath into them the love you feel and keep them safe and healthy.
May they be with you forever.
